I heard an interview yesterday with the economist and former editor of The Wall St. Journal, Dr. Paul Craig Roberts. He opened up the interview by saying that one of the great misconceptions people have is that the American people are a free people. He said by definition, "a free people" is a people that own their own labor. He said that if you don't own your own labor, then you are in fact known as a "serf".
