William Safire, dead at age 79. It should be pointed out that Safire was one of the main pundits advocating the invasion of Iraq, insisting alleged Sept. 11 hijacker and supposed ringleader Mohammed Atta met with an Iraqi intelligence agent in Prague prior to 9/11. Good riddance.
